Thought For The Week
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of GOD - Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:8-10
The following column is posted for your edification, glean and be discerning... remember salvation is of God, not man or mans works. The good works should come AFTER you are saved, because of your love and obedience... but they do not save you. So just let the love of Christ shine through you. Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. - 2 Timothy 2:15 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works. 2 Timothy 3:16-17
***It is of utmost importance to get this in the right order... salvation (gift of God) then works (for the glory of God, resulting from your faith in Him / love for Him).
