Obedience

• If ye love me, keep my commandments.John 14:15

• He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me; and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love Him, and will manifest myself to him. John 14:21

• If a man love me, he will keep my words; and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings; and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's, who sent me. John 14:23-24

• And the angel of the LORD called unto Abraham out of heaven the second time, And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the LORD; for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son; That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the seashore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies; And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed, because thou hast obeyed my voice. Genesis 22:15-18

• And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy GOD, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy GOD will set thee on high above all nations of the earth; And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy GOD. Deuteronomy 28:1-2

• The LORD shall establish thee an holy people unto himself, as he hath sworn unto thee, if thou shalt keep the commandments of the LORD thy GOD, and walk in his ways. Deuteronomy 28:9

• And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath, if thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy GOD, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them. Deuteronomy 28:3-14

Here we see that our obedience brings blessings.
I truly believe that we miss out on much blessing, because of our disobedience.

• Serve the LORD th gladness; come before his presence with singing. Psalm 100:2

• Teach me thy way, O LORD; I will walk in thy truth; unite my heart to fear thy name. Psalm 86:11

• Create in me a clean heart, O GOD, and renew a right spirit within me. Psalm 51:10

From the Scriptures above it is clear that obedience from the heart is what we are to desire.

~Remember that is what the LORD looks at, and He is, after all, the One we are to please.~

Ask the LORD as the Psalmist did in Psalm 51:10 to give you a heart for HIM.
